In the occasion of the Annual Boat Trade Show which took place last week (Sept. 12–17) in French Riviera, around 500 international exhibitors could demonstrate in Cannes their large offer of sailing and motor boats.

Almost 650 boats from 5 to 50 meters were presented by the biggest actors in the boating industry, both in the Old Harbour of the city and in the Canto Port. Thousands of visitors could enjoy this on-water show and discover the growing tendencies:

electric and solar powered boats.   

This environment friendly offer becomes more and more attractive for individuals and for professionals.

Indeed, the climate impact, the recharge costs and the acoustic comfort could become our days the main factors for choosing a new boat to buy or to rent.

Investing in the yachting for leasing, it must be important for professionals to keep in mind the new requirements of their clients, for staying aligned with competitors & for protecting our planet.

In the same sense, the taxation is helping businesses to make a right choice. In France for instance, the VAT deductibility rate is more advantageous for the electricity than for the fuel. Additionally, the both are charged with 20% VAT, while it’s zero for the self-produced solar energy. 😉
